The doctors at this surgery are really fantastic but the phone system is shambolic. Today I started phoning just before 8.30 as I usually do, in the hope to be on the phone as they were switching the lines on then got an engaged tone for over 10 minutes, when I got through the queuing system all the appointments were gone for the doctor I wanted to see. I've often had to wait longer than this to get through. You can't pre book an appt for the next day you have to do the whole thing again. If you don't manage to get through as they open the lines it's a nightmare. It might be easier to wait at the surgery and book an appointment in person but this isn't possible if you are trying to get kids to school and you live a 15 minute walk from the surgery. Grrr. On another note the waiting room is quite shabby and could do with an overhaul.

Very difficult to book an appointment by phone. Wait very long time on the line.

Best to make appointments on line or in person. Had to ring the surgery 3 times in the past week. It took over 10 minutes each time for the phone to be answered, my last call took16 minutes!!

Great doctors,terrible reception service,kept to long for the telephone to be answered Also the fact that so many patients fail to keep their appointments should be addressed URGENTLY, so that those that genuinlely need appointments get one.

Received a letter to attend the Asthma clinic advising it was very important and to call to make an appointment. The first time I called I hung on for ages and had to leave my number for Denise Smyth to call me back to book in the appointment. I heard nothing so called again the day before the clinic and after holding on for an age again had to leave my details and an e-mail was sent to Denise Smyth to call me. No contact received. I called again, having missed the date and asked if someone else could make the appointment but no, Denise Smyth is the only one who can do it. Where are you Denise?.........It's an appalling way to be treated.
